Resumen

A más de medio siglo de su publicación, Teologia de la Liberación: Perspectivas, de Gustavo Gutiérrez, sigue siendo fuente de ideas y de inspiraciones, con gran impacto en cómo la gente de fe entiende el mundo y se organiza para actuar dentro de él. El libro forma parte de las transformaciones generales del catolicismo latinoamericano tras el Concilio Vaticano II y los documentos de Medellin. Las ideas centrales incluyen: una sola historia, el reconocimiento de la legitimidad de las acciones utópicas y una visión del mundo y de la Iglesia que parte de la base. La teologia de la liberación no ofrece recetas para la acción politica, sino más bien un compromiso general con el activismo social y politico como expresión legitima de la fe.
